Start-Up Operations Manager, Cross Dock Launch

About this role

For our client, we are seeking a Start-Up Operations Manager Cross Dock Launch to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a manufacturing environment.


Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available


Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually


Responsibilities

• Execute Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) alongside engineering teams to validate systems and processes
• Manage cross-dock warehouse functions from inbound receiving to outbound loading
• Develop and refine launch playbooks by documenting lessons learned and standardizing processes
• Oversee day-to-day execution and management of large teams to achieve operational targets
• Validate WMS/WES functionality and troubleshoot system transaction bottlenecks
• Drive compliance with safety protocols and conduct audits in a dynamic environment
• Manage project-specific priorities such as labor planning and shift balancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 8 years in 3PL warehouse or distribution center operations in high-volume environments
• Advanced experience with automated warehouse environments and WMS/WES platforms
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety protocols
• Proven track record in driving launch-critical KPIs like throughput and timing
• Ability to respond quickly to operational constraints and implement corrective actions
