Staff Accountant – Client Advisory

Job Summary
We're hiring a Staff Accountant – Client Advisory to own the financial management of a portfolio of approximately 10+ small construction and contractor businesses, with room to grow as we do. This is a full-cycle accounting role with a direct path into client advisory work: monthly financial reviews, strategic insight, and genuine partnership with business owners.

What You'll Do

*Client Financial Management*

• Maintain accurate, complete books for a portfolio of ~10+ construction/contractor clients
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) and ensure they're meaningful, not just technically correct
• Perform reconciliations and resolve historical bookkeeping issues
• Track job costs and gross profit by project as we build out that infrastructure
• Proactively flag trends, risks, or inconsistencies before clients notice them

*Client Advisory Support*

• Prepare materials for monthly client financial review meetings
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients via phone, email, and text
• Grow into leading monthly financial reviews independently over time

• Supervise and mentor a junior bookkeeper
