Position Summary

Wallace Chicken is one of the fastest-growing quick-service restaurant brands in Southern California. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our corporate team. This role will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple restaurant locations and affiliated companies while helping build scalable financial processes as the company expands.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

This position reports directly to the company’s executive leadership and will play a key role in supporting Wallace’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

• Maintain accurate financial records for multiple company entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
• Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and on time.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor customer receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer records.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor warehouse inventory.
• Analyze inventory variances, and usage reports.
• Assist operations in improving inventory accuracy and profitability.

Payroll & Compliance

• Review payroll reports and payroll journal entries.
• Assist with workers’ compensation reporting and payroll reconciliations.
• Assist with year-end tax preparation and external audits.

Financial Analysis

• Prepare weekly and monthly financial performance reports.
• Analyze labor cost, food cost, operating expenses, and profitability.
