The role demands precision in financial reporting aligned with GAAP and IFRS standards, alongside active involvement in month-end close and cash management processes. Responsibilities:
- Process and verify monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage tenant revenue transactions and receipt postings with attention to detail and timeliness.
- Review and code accounts payable invoices, distinguishing between capital expenditures and operational expenses according to policy.
- Prepare journal entries related to property acquisitions, sales, and debt activities, supporting financial statement accuracy.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and analyze daily cash positions to maintain liquidity oversight.
- Compile monthly financial statements for properties, including variance analysis to identify key trends.
- Support external audit processes and assist in the preparation of annual financial reports and treasury-related administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 1-2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within real estate or property management.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive approach to independent work.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience using Yardi or similar property management accounting software.
