Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Strategic Project Lead (PCB & Embedded Design) to oversee end-to-end hardware development projects from concept to production. The role requires leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams including PCB layout, embedded firmware, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing partners. You will define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation while ensuring compliance with technical and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute project plans for PCB and embedded system designs, aligning with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Lead collaboration between hardware engineers, firmware developers, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality prototypes within budget.
• Manage PCB layout reviews, signal integrity analysis, and component selection to optimize performance and manufacturability.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for project progress, risk mitigation, and quality assurance.
• Present technical and business updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership, to secure project approvals and resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in PCB design and embedded systems development, with at least 3 years in a project leadership or management role.
• Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or Cadence Allegro.
• Experience with embedded firmware development in C/C++ and debugging using JTAG or logic analyzers.
• Knowledge of industry standards including IPC-2221, IPC-A-610, and UL certification processes.
