## About the role

Butterfly is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer (Frontend) to join their distributed delivery team. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys working across multiple client projects in a digital agency environment and can independently deliver well-crafted frontend solutions.

Reporting to the Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with designers, developers, and project stakeholders to translate thoughtful design into high-quality, performant user interfaces. The role suits someone who takes ownership of their work, values clean and maintainable code, and is motivated to continuously improve their technical capability.

## What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and maintain frontend components using modern JavaScript and React
• Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces aligned with design intent
• Translate Figma designs into high-quality frontend implementations across React applications and CMS-driven websites
• Customise WordPress themes, Elementor layouts and frontend components to meet design requirements
• Integrate REST APIs into frontend applications
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness and frontend performance
• Contribute to component-based UI architecture and reusable patterns
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and solution architects
• Participate in code reviews and follow team Git workflows
