Senior Staff AI Engineer (Remote Eligible)

About this role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Staff AI Engineer (Remote Eligible) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.


This role will help shape advanced AI capabilities that support large-scale production systems and long-term technical strategy across the organization. The ideal candidate will partner with cross-functional technology teams to build, optimize, and govern AI solutions that are performant, safe, and scalable. In this senior-level position, you will influence technical direction, elevate engineering standards, and mentor future AI leaders while working in a highly collaborative environment.


Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available


Compensation: $286,200 – $326,700 annually


Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a diverse team to build AI solutions
• Develop and support a range of AI software components
• Utilize advanced AI technologies, including AWS Ultraclusters and Hugging Face
• Optimize large-scale production AI systems for performance
• Shape the long-term roadmap for AI systems
• Establish company-wide AI standards for performance and safety
• Mentor and develop future AI technical leaders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field with significant AI/ML experience
• 10+ years creating AI and ML algorithms
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, and Scala
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at a senior level
