Senior Business/Functional Analyst

About this role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Business/Functional Analyst to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.


This role will support Agile delivery by translating stakeholder needs into clear, actionable requirements and maintaining alignment across the product backlog, sprint cadence, and release planning. You will work closely with Government product owners and project leaders to break down work, support documentation, and help keep execution on track. The position also involves supporting the full SDLC, including testing and deployment, while contributing to strong communication and documentation quality across diverse audiences.


Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available


Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000 annually


Responsibilities

• Provide functional knowledge and support for assigned applications
• Elicit, analyze, and validate business and functional requirements from stakeholders
• Create and maintain work items in AzDO, ensuring timely documentation
• Collaborate with Government product owners and project managers to break down requirements into manageable work
• Maintain alignment of the product backlog with Agile sprints and releases
• Facilitate Scrum events and adhere to Scrum best practices
• Support full SDLC activities, including testing and deployment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements
• Strong practical knowledge of Agile concepts and practices
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and Agile delivery schedules
• Experience with DoN or DoW IT knowledge is a plus
