Senior Software Engineer - Remote

About this role

Work directly with a leading AI research lab on real-world software engineering problems.

• Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and maintainability.
• Design challenging engineering problems and test cases that probe model reasoning.
• Review model output step by step and document where and why it fails.
• Help push model performance on production-grade software tasks.

Compensation: $245 - $280 per hour

Location: Fully remote, work from anywhere

Type: Flexible contract, not a full-time position

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience at a strong engineering organisation.
• Deep expertise in system design, code review, and debugging complex issues.
• Solid grounding in algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
• Production experience in Python, Java, Go, Rust, C++ or TypeScript.
• No prior AI or machine learning experience required. Your engineering judgement is what matters.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
## Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional software development experience, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go) and its associated ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
