About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER role on the Global Forwarding team involves designing and delivering scalable software solutions that support modernization and automation initiatives. This position leads technical innovation, influences engineering processes, and mentors engineers while developing AI-enabled tools to automate knowledge work and enhance decision-making throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of scalable software solutions for Global Forwarding
• Translate complex business needs into technical solutions across pricing, contracts, planning, booking, and operations
• Design AI-enabled automation for repetitive and complex tasks
• Identify and apply AI technologies such as large language models and intelligent agents
• Develop workflows that interpret unstructured data and appropriately escalate exceptions
• Establish reliable enterprise AI patterns including security and auditability
• Rapidly prototype and evolve AI technologies into production
• Define interfaces and develop code across multiple platforms and services
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to improve workflows
• Design for high-volume, resilient, and low-touch operational environments
• Build integrations with internal platforms, external partners, and messaging systems
• Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and domains
• Enhance code quality through reviews and best practices
