Our client is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst for a remote contract opportunity lasting 6–12 months or longer. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and other technical partners to gather requirements, document application functionality, and support projects throughout their life cycles.

A key part of the position is documenting the current state of applications and integrated systems, including business processes, system interactions, data flows, and dependencies. This documentation will provide a reliable foundation for future enhancements, system changes, and planning.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting large, complex projects, particularly those involving financial processes related to commissions and premiums. Experience with AI, data mapping, and data migration is also valuable.

Key Responsibilities

•Gather, analyze, and document clear business requirements for projects, system enhancements, and general change requests.

•Document the current state of applications and integrated systems, including process flows, system interactions, and data dependencies.

•Translate technical specifications into business documentation that clearly explains business logic, rules, and system dependencies.

•Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to validate requirements and align technical solutions with business needs.

•Maintain accurate documentation of system processes, integrations, and requirements to support knowledge transfer and future-state planning.

•Conduct impact analysis for application changes by identifying dependencies across systems, data, and business processes.

•Work with business and technical teams to clarify requirements, address gaps, and verify that delivered solutions meet expectations.
