About this role
About the Role
Our client is seeking an AI Data Scientist to develop advanced computer vision and machine learning solutions for industrial inspection. This role focuses on Automated Defect Classification (ADC) and Die-to-Database (DB) comparison algorithms, applying mathematical modeling and AI techniques to identify defects and improve inspection accuracy.
You will develop and optimize deep learning models, design image registration and matching algorithms, and analyze complex datasets to improve model performance. Working with software engineers, field application teams, and domain experts, you will help validate and deploy production-ready AI models.
Key Responsibilities
Algorithm and Model Development
•Design, train, and optimize deep learning and computer vision models for automated defect detection and classification.
•Develop object detection and image classification algorithms to identify microscopic defects, including particles, scratches, and pattern anomalies.
Die-to-Database Comparison
•Develop high-precision image registration, geometric alignment, and image matching algorithms to compare captured optical images with CAD database layouts.
•Improve alignment accuracy and algorithm robustness under varying imaging conditions.
Advanced Data Analytics
•Apply statistical modeling, signal processing, denoising, and feature extraction techniques to improve image quality and inspection accuracy.
•Analyze large, noisy datasets to improve signal-to-noise ratios and model performance.
Model Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
•Evaluate model performance using real-world inspection data and investigate edge cases.
•Improve model accuracy through iterative training, active learning, and few-shot learning techniques.
•Collaborate with software engineers, field application teams, and domain experts to deploy and validate production-ready AI models.
Documentation and Collaboration
