Senior Management Accountant – High-Profile Restaurant Group

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join a high-profile and growing restaurant group, overseeing the financial performance of multiple sites.

This is an ideal role for an ambitious finance professional ready to take on greater responsibility and progress into a Financial Controller position. Working closely with senior leadership and site management teams, you will provide clear commercial insight while ensuring robust financial controls across the group. The role is hybrid, 3 days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing accurate monthly management accounts across multiple sites
• Managing budgets, forecasts and cash-flow reporting
• Analysing site performance, costs, margins and profitability
• Managing labour cost and overseeing payroll
• Delivering meaningful financial reporting and commercial recommendations
• Supporting General Managers with budgets and financial performance
• Overseeing balance-sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Improving financial controls, reporting processes and systems
• Supporting year-end accounts and external audits
• Playing a key role in new openings and the group’s continued growth
• Developing towards full ownership of the finance function

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong management accounting experience, ideally within restaurants, hospitality, retail or another multi-site business
• Excellent commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge operational teams constructively
• Experience producing budgets, forecasts and detailed management information
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with accounting and reporting systems
• A hands-on, organised and proactive approach
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification, or be actively working towards qualification
• The ambition and ability to progress into a Financial Controller role
