Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Our Corporate Finance Team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a 12 month contract role to provide financially informed analytical support to assigned divisions; understand the financial and accounting impact of business processes (e.g., audit, legal, and reporting requirements) to evaluate current and future business activities and deliver timely and accurate accounting and operational excellence.


What will I be doing?

• Provides finance forecasting and reports (e.g. variance and cost-recovery analysis, reconciliation of accounts), prepares entries, and takes corrective action
• Conducts financial analyses in support of the business operations in the assigned division, using proper accounting treatment; provides subject matter expertise in analyzing and responding to inquiries and solving complex problems
• Determines the financial impact/ROI of revenue initiatives/ strategic business decisions and incorporate the impacts into future financial forecasts/plans
• Creates and applies reporting templates, financial models and automated processes to meet legal and corporate standards, including meeting deadlines
