Senior Data Scientist

About this role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a healthcare environment.


Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available


Compensation: $176,900 – $230,000 annually


Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale data science projects from ideation to enterprise impact
• Develop creative and practical solutions to complex problems
• Evaluate trade-offs to optimize solutions for speed and effectiveness
• Implement scalable, well-tested solutions to reduce process complexity
• Engage proactively with stakeholders to align efforts with business needs
• Identify and mitigate risks early in projects to avoid potential roadblocks
• Mentor peers and enhance team problem-solving and execution capabilities

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Master's + 3-4 years or Ph.D. + 2+ years of experience)
• Strong background in probability, statistics, and machine learning tools (SQL, Python, ML/statistical packages)
• Proven track record of using data science to drive enterprise value
• Experience leading projects from concept to measurable impact
• Ability to mentor and enhance team capabilities through collaboration and leadership
• Strong communication skills to align data science efforts with business objectives
