Remote Data Scientist / Software Engineer

About this role

Role:
Data Scientist / Software Engineer responsible for developing and deploying data-driven cybersecurity solutions.


Responsibilities:
Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML and data systems handling large-scale cybersecurity telemetry; apply analytical and ML techniques to analyze data; develop backend services, APIs, and data pipelines; collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed algorithms into platforms; ensure code quality and architectural integrity; operationalize models with monitoring and versioning; contribute to product roadmap by identifying data science opportunities; develop solutions that are production-ready and scalable.


Qualifications & Skills

• Master's or PhD in CS, Data Science, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Proficient in Python, with additional experience in languages like Go, Rust, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), big data tools (Spark, Hadoop), and data visualization tools.
• Experience with software design, APIs, databases, CI/CD, containerization (Docker), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and version control.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:
Experience with security applications, ML services (SageMaker, Vertex AI), LLM systems, Agile environments, data privacy regulations, DevOps practices, threat intelligence, or security research.
