Operations Officer / Manager

About this role

Healthy Futures Global (HFG) partners with governments in Angola and the Philippines to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis, aiming to protect +3 million pregnant women a year at national scale. We are a small, fast-moving team, searching for a person that can lead our headquarters and operations work.

## About the role

This is a generalist operations role sitting somewhere between an Executive Assistant and a COO. You will be the first hire to single-handedly shape our organisations operational processes. You will also be a founders’ second pair of hands, comfortable with a changing landscape of tasks, setting up a finance process, drafting and executing SOPs, chasing a teammate for their weekly update, or booking travels. The ideal person is happy to do whatever it takes to keep Healthy Futures running smoothly, and takes real ownership of the unglamorous work that makes everything else possible.

## How you will make a difference

• Building organisation systems — analysing organisational bottlenecks, identifying and integrating tools and systems to unclog
• Financial management — supporting budgeting, invoicing, and financial admin across our US and country entities, and setting up dashboards and decision-relevant systems
• HR and hiring — supporting recruitment processes, onboarding, and day-to-day people operations, productivity and project management coaching
• Regulatory compliance — coordinating requirements from HQ (US) through to the UK, Angola, and the Philippines
• Creating SOPs — building the systems and documentation that let the team run without reinventing the wheel each time
• Chief of staff work — planning capacity, keeping the team safe and happy, following up with teammates on operational commitments (e.g. "prep the weekly meeting," "send your Friday update," "draft this decision doc") and making sure things don't fall through the cracks
