Operations Manager

We are a rapidly growing transportation and logistics company seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day operations. This position is responsible for ensuring shipments move efficiently, customers receive exceptional service, employees remain accountable, and operational issues are resolved before they impact our business.

This is a leadership role for someone who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation and logistics operations.
• Manage and support the operations team while providing coaching and direction.
• Review operational reports and identify issues requiring immediate attention.
• Monitor shipment status, check calls, missing documentation, profitability, carrier performance, and customer service metrics.
• Ensure all shipments are tracked accurately and customers receive timely updates.
• Proactively identify operational issues before they become customer problems.
• Resolve customer and carrier issues professionally and efficiently.
• Lead daily operations meetings and assign priorities to the team.
• Develop and improve operational procedures and workflows.
• Hold team members accountable while providing training and support.
• Work closely with executive leadership to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of transportation, freight brokerage, or logistics operations experience.
• Previous Operations Manager or Operations Supervisor experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience working with TMS software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing customer service, carrier relations, dispatch, and shipment execution.
