Job Summary

Henry's End is seeking an experienced and organized Kitchen Operations Manager to oversee daily kitchen activities, coordinate food preparation, manage kitchen staff, and maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for ensuring that kitchen workflows run smoothly, ingredients and supplies are managed effectively, and meals are prepared consistently according to established standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with chefs, cooks, food preparation staff, purchasing personnel, and restaurant management to coordinate staffing, monitor inventory, control costs, and maintain a clean and productive kitchen environment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities, sound culinary knowledge, and experience managing restaurant kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and service coordination.
• Supervise kitchen staff, assign duties, and ensure adequate coverage during service periods.
• Coordinate with chefs and cooks to maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Develop or manage kitchen schedules in coordination with restaurant management.
• Monitor ingredient inventory, kitchen supplies, and stock replenishment requirements.
• Coordinate purchasing and receiving activities to ensure ingredients are available when needed.
• Track food costs, waste, and portion control to support budget and profitability goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly equipped kitchen workstations and storage areas.
• Train kitchen employees on preparation procedures, equipment use, safety practices, and service expectations.
