The Role
We are hiring a
Senior Finance Manager
—a roll-up-your-sleeves finance leader who can operate at every level of the accounting function. You are the CFO’s right hand. You are comfortable
doing the work yourself when needed
, while also reviewing, improving, and managing it with confidence and judgment.
Key Responsibilities
*Accounting Execution & Ownership*
- Fully own month-end close, end-to-end
- Perform hands-on bookkeeping when required
- Manage accruals, prepaids, amortization, and revenue recognition
- Maintain clean, reliable balance sheet reconciliations
- Review work produced by others and correct issues independently
- Identify problems before they escalate
- Troubleshoot discrepancies and determine root causes
- Fix historical issues without waiting for direction
- Build, document, and improve repeatable accounting processes
- Shorten close timelines and improve reporting consistency
*Communication & Inbox Management*
- Monitor and manage shared client inboxes
- Triage emails by urgency and ownership
- Resolve routine accounting questions independently
- Decide what truly requires CFO-level judgment
- Draft responses and close loops without escalation
- Create email rules, routing logic, and response templates
- Establish clear ownership so issues don’t default upward
What Success Looks Like
- The CFO is no longer the escalation point for routine accounting issues
- Month-end close runs smoothly without cleanup
- Reconciliations are trusted, not re-checked
