Job Summary
The Data Scientist 2 is an independent contributor who develops and applies statistical, machine learning, and optimization techniques to solve well-defined business problems. This role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and scalable analytical solutions while continuing to build technical expertise.
Job Description
- Build and validate machine learning, statistical, and optimization models for business use cases.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify actionable insights and recommend solutions.
- Develop automated analytical workflows, reports, dashboards, and reusable data pipelines.
- Assist Senior Data Scientists to evaluate model performance and document methodologies.
- Present technical findings and business impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to translate business requirements into data science solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; Spark/PySpark experience preferred.
