Role Description
This is a part-time, remote role within GG Community. The selected candidate will help structure and animate the community’s online presence, including coordinating member interactions, moderating discussions, and sharing relevant tech and entrepreneurship content. They will support the organization and promotion of online events, meetups, and thematic discussions, ensuring that members feel welcome, informed, and engaged. The role also includes gathering feedback from members, identifying opportunities to improve the community experience, and collaborating with core team members to implement new initiatives. Day-to-day, the candidate will work flexibly with digital tools, maintain clear communication with the team, and uphold GG Community’s values of inclusion, mutual support, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Community-building and moderation skills, including experience facilitating online groups, encouraging participation, and managing respectful discussions.
• Strong communication abilities, with clear written and verbal communication in English (French is a plus) and the capacity to adapt tone to different audiences.
• Experience organizing or supporting events (online or hybrid), such as meetups, webinars, or workshops, including basic planning and follow-up.
• Familiarity with digital collaboration tools and social platforms (e.g., Slack/Discord, community platforms, videoconferencing tools).
• Understanding of the tech and startup ecosystem, with curiosity about entrepreneurship, innovation, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively in a part-time schedule, and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience in community management, tech meetups, or startup networks is an advantage but not mandatory; motivation and willingness to learn are essential.
