About this role

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, discreet, and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the full financial operations of a private family office with multiple revenue streams (e.g. royalties, talent fees, licensing). This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting, reporting, cash management, and coordination across multiple entities, including personal finances, trusts, and investment structures.

The ideal candidate operates with a high level of autonomy and professionalism, functioning as a key financial gatekeeper and strategic partner to the principal(s) and their advisors.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain full-cycle accounting for the family office, including personal accounts, LLCs, trusts, and related entities
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations across multiple entities
• Take full ownership of all invoicing and bill payments, managing both A/R and A/P functions to ensure accurate billing, effective collections, and timely vendor payments.
• Monitor recurring expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions

Financial Reporting & Cash Flow Management

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including:
• Net worth statements
• Cash flow analyses
• Income and expense reports
• Develop customized reporting to support decision-making and financial visibility
• Forecast liquidity needs and coordinate fund transfers
• Analyze financial trends and identify discrepancies or optimization opportunities

Investment & Asset Tracking

• Track and reconcile investment activity across brokerage accounts, private investments, and alternative assets
• Maintain accurate records of cost basis, income distributions, and realized/unrealized gains
• Coordinate with investment advisors and wealth managers
