Pay Range: $50,000- $70,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

The Staff Accountant will assist with day-to-day statutory accounting, accounts payable, compliance filings and finance duties. Must be a collaborative team player with a friendly, personable demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a close-knit Accounting environment.

What you’ll do as a Staff Accountant?

• Bank reconciliation
• Assist with insurance accounting including investments, reinsurance and compliance filings and quarterly/annual statement.
• Perform month end Accounts Payable closing procedures to ensure all transactions are complete
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Assist with 1099 filings to IRS
• Assist with other duties and any special projects as assigned
• Strong interpersonal skills to work collegially and effectively with other members of the team. Ability to communicate successfully with affiliate companies.
• Works well under pressure, accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments.
