Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant and tax preparation expertise to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing complex accounting functions, reviewing and closing monthly financial statements prepared by bookkeepers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Duties

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet analysis, to maintain accurate financial records.
• Analyze financial statements using GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), interpret financial data for management reports, and contribute to financial report writing.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, CSA, Thompson Reuters.
• Provide insights on financial concepts like debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• **Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, technical accounting standards, and financial software tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms.**
• Demonstrated experience in tax preparation for various entity types along with estate planning expertise preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in account analysis and bookkeeping tasks.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
