Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and journal entries to maintain precise financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
• Assist with payroll management using systems like Paylocity while ensuring adherence to payroll regulations.
• Support internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and assist with audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Maintain data entry accuracy through double entry bookkeeping and 10-key typing skills; perform tax-related tasks and ensure timely filing where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• 3+ years of proven experience in corporate accounting, governmental accounting, or public accounting environments.
