Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Project Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of construction projects, providing high-level financial analysis and supporting strategic decision making. The Senior Project Accountant will also ensure that all contracts and agreements are executed in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. This role involves monitoring, reviewing, and maintaining compliance with contract terms throughout their lifecycle to mitigate risk and ensure smooth business operations.


Key Responsibilities

• New Project Set Up: (Budget and SOVs)/Ongoing maintenance

• Collaborate and partner with project managers to influence decision-making related to job costs, contract interpretation, and financial risk and develop a detailed and cost-effective budget.
• Gather COI, Prelims, Bond requests, DCIP, CCIP (in conjunction with payables).
• Contracts: Manage Prime Contract Change Orders, Subcontractor agreements, Subcontractor Change Orders

• Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis and oversight of projects, including budgeting, cost tracking to ensure effective and profitable progress. Provide actionable recommendations to project managers and leadership.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly accrual entries for expenses.
• Assist with handling customer and vendor inquiries and researching and resolving customer issues and requests.
• Billing and Invoice Management: Prepare and process customer and subcontractor billing. Process customer invoices received from PMs with SOVs.
