Sr. Machine Learning Engineer, Responsible AI- Applied Research Science

About this role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer, Responsible AI- Applied Research Science to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will shape high-impact initiatives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. You will partner across technical and business teams to turn complex ideas into scalable solutions and meaningful outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both roadmap priorities and long-term organizational capability.


Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available


Compensation: $189,721 – $332,012 annually


Responsibilities

• Design and drive projects on responsible AI to identify and mitigate bias in ML applications
• Collaborate with engineering teams to adopt Responsible AI practices across the company
• Mentor junior engineers on Responsible AI topics
• Define and drive technical strategies related to responsible AI with senior leadership

Qualifications

• Extensive real-world experience applying advanced ML methods in production systems, focusing on responsible technology
• Deep familiarity with cutting-edge ML architectures (e.g., transformers, 2-tower models) in large-scale Search and Recommender Systems
• Proven ability to measure, deploy, and refine fairness interventions for broad Responsible AI solutions
• 4+ years working experience in engineering teams building large-scale ML products
• 1+ years experience leading cross-team engineering efforts
• Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related fields
