Hyra is working on behalf of Boeing to hire for the position of Software Engineers-Simulation (Associate or Experienced). This role focuses on developing virtual simulation and experimentation toolsets within the Virtual Warfare Center for Boeing Defense, Space & Security. The selected candidate will model platforms, sensors, and tactical systems to support real-time Operator in the Loop simulation experiments.

What you'll be doing

• Develop simulation software and capabilities using the Virtual Interactive Simulation Environment.

• Model advanced platforms, sensors, emitters, communications, and tactical weapons systems.

• Collaborate with internal partners and external customers to define and implement modeling requirements.

• Troubleshoot existing software and create comprehensive software designs and test plans.

• Support large-scale experimentation efforts involving advanced concept capabilities.

What we're looking for

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required security clearances and access programs.

• Professional experience working within a Linux development environment.

• Proficiency in C++ programming for complex software systems.

• Experience utilizing version control systems such as Git or Subversion.

• Familiarity with SDLC and agile methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban.
