Koniag IT Systems (KITS) is seeking a Senior Server / Cloud Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience to design, deploy, and support enterprise server and cloud infrastructure for a federal civilian customer undergoing active data center consolidation and cloud modernization. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in administering Windows Server and Linux environments at enterprise scale and leading migration of on-premises workloads to AWS, including GovCloud. Experience with VMware-based virtualization and infrastructure-as-code is strongly preferred.


The Senior Server / Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and administering enterprise server and cloud infrastructure, leading migration of legacy on-premises workloads to AWS GovCloud, and supporting the customer's active data center consolidation initiative.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, deploy, and administer Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS) systems supporting enterprise applications and services.
• Lead migration of legacy, on-premises data center workloads to AWS GovCloud as part of the customer's data center exit initiative, including four planned data center consolidations.
• Administer VMware vSphere/vCenter environments, including capacity planning, patching, and lifecycle management of virtual infrastructure.
