POSITION SUMMARY
Provide project-specific accounting support to ensure projects are set up and maintained in accordance with client agreements as well as established internal policies and procedures. Serve as the front-line liaison with the client on all project-related invoicing and billing procedures, as well as with the project manager regarding budgeting contract fees. Responsible for accurate project setup, facilitation, and distribution of billings, as well as financial assistance to project managers and project teams. Preparation and analysis of weekly reports relating to budgets, projections, and contract billings, including resolving problems where necessary. Assigned responsibilities with the general ledger, assist with financial statements and financial analysis. Assist in the migration from Deltek Vision to Deltek Vantagepoint.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform a variety of complex tasks to accomplish specific project accounting requirements as outlined by client agreements, and as outlined by internal processes and procedures. Tasks included, but are not limited to:
· Set up and maintenance of project budgets in accounting database with input from project managers.
· Conduct meetings with project managers and/or Principals on at least a monthly basis to inquire on project status and update “estimates to complete,” in Deltek (Company’s ERP system), where necessary. Identify project-related issues to resolve timely.
