📍 Seattle, WA (Hybrid – 3–4 Days Onsite)

Client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a high-impact
AI/ML platform
engagement with a leading specialty retailer. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building production-grade, real-time data pipelines that power machine learning workflows and customer analytics at scale.

🔹 What You’ll Work On:

• Build event-driven streaming pipelines using
Kafka & Flink

• Develop scalable transformations on
GCP / BigQuery

• Engineer high-performance Python data workloads using Polars/Pandas

• Deploy
ML pipeline
components using Kubeflow Pipelines & Vertex AI

• Design scalable event-store architectures for customer event processing

• Partner with ML engineers, platform teams, and data scientists to deliver model-ready datasets

🔹 Required Skills:

✔
Kafka & Flink
streaming experience in production environments

✔ Strong
SQL and BigQuery
optimization expertise

✔ Python data engineering with Pandas/Polars at scale

✔ Experience with
Kubeflow Pipelines
(KFP), Vertex AI & Docker

✔
Event-store design and schema
management expertise

✔ Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

⭐ Nice to Have:

• Retail / E-commerce domain experience

• Exposure to Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Confluent Schema Registry

• Consulting or client-facing experience

• Google Cloud certifications
