Overview

CP Manufacturing, part of CP Group, is a global leader in designing and manufacturing recycling systems and waste processing equipment. We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing Corporate Accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative manufacturing environment. While the role initially supports CP Manufacturing, it is expected to expand into a Corporate Accounting position supporting multiple domestic and international entities.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities
• Analyze financial results and explain variances
• Support cost accounting, project accounting, and profitability analysis
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and lease accounting
• Assist with financial reporting, audits, tax support, and lender reporting
• Support intercompany accounting and consolidations
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and FP&A
• Participate in ERP enhancements, reporting automation, and special projects
• Mentor junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting external audits.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
