RESPONSIBILITIES:


Kforce's healthcare client is searching for a Financial Analyst to join their team. This is a fully remote role, but the candidate must reside in California.


Summary:


The Financial Analyst III is responsible for the day- to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas. This position reconciles complex bank account transactions against the General Ledger,and provides a list of outstanding checks and reconciling items to all necessary departments. This position also helps optimize cash/payable duration.


In this role, the Financial Analyst maintains and develops various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance during the planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review. This position understands and facilitates the integration of business processes, people, and relevant technology, in order to identify, configure, and communicate useful information, and to provide practical business leadership to drive business decision making across the company. The Analyst acts as a Subject Matter Expert, serves as a resource and mentor for other staff.


REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree required
• CPA is nice to have
• 5 years of industry experience within: healthcare, health plan, managed care or adjacent
• Payment processing, Financial monthly close, General Ledger Documentation, ERP experience
• Demonstrable logical thinking
• A strong understanding of GAAP accounting/reporting
• Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
• Familiarity with finance databases
• Up to date with accounting laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to details
• Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
