The Role

The Project Accountant will own the financial oversight of projects across multiple entities within the QC Ecosystem. This role will report to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for building structure and discipline into project accounting processes — from contract setup through billing and closeout.

Partnering closely with Project Managers, Finance leadership, and external stakeholders, this individual will ensure accurate cost tracking, contract compliance, timely billing, and clear financial visibility across engineering and construction projects. This is a hands-on, process-building role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, evolving environments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end project accounting from inception through closeout.
• Track labor, reimbursable expenses, equipment allocations, and project budgets.
• Manage and issue invoices based on varying contract structures (lump sum, time & materials, milestone-based, percent complete).
• Establish and document standardized project accounting workflows and controls.
