About this role
Product Launch Project Manager
Empowered Cooks is looking for a highly organized, assertive project manager to take ownership of our product-launch process from beginning to end.
We have an established audience, experienced specialists, existing sales channels, and the resources needed to develop and launch successful consumer products. What we need is the person who keeps the entire team moving.
This is not primarily a product-design, sourcing, engineering, or Amazon specialist role. Those capabilities already exist within our team.
Your job is to coordinate the people doing that work, establish clear ownership and deadlines, maintain visibility across the entire project, resolve stalled work, and make sure products actually launch.
You will manage each product from the initial idea through feasibility, product development, sourcing, sampling, production, logistics, launch, and post-launch review.
You will begin by managing approximately two to three active products, with the opportunity to eventually oversee a portfolio of six to ten products at different stages.
What you will own
- Build and maintain the complete project plan for every active product.
- Translate product goals into clear milestones, tasks, owners, dependencies, and deadlines.
- Coordinate work across:
- Amazon strategy and account management
- Product design and engineering
- Prototyping and sampling
- Branding, graphics, and packaging
- Factory sourcing and supplier agreements
- Production, quality assurance, and testing
- Freight, logistics, and inventory arrival
- Amazon and Shopify launch preparation
- Work with team members every day to ensure meaningful progress is being made.
- Keep project management tool accurate and current so leadership can immediately see:
- Current status
- Work completed
- Next action
- Responsible owner
- Due date
- Blockers
- Decisions needed
- Challenge vague updates and clarify exactly what is required next.
- Identify stalled work before leadership ...
