Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer, the People Operations Manager acts as a strategic partner, aligning business objectives with HR programs. The People Operations Manager also acts as the focal point for employees and inquiries related to benefits, payroll, employee relations, recruiting, staffing, compensation and training & development while supporting the employees and the operation's management team.
SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced People Operations Manager to lead the HR function for a high-end furniture manufacturer. This role will focus on creating positive employee experience by driving key initiatives in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, a passion for people, and a strong understanding of HR best practices in a manufacturing environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the People Operations function, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s business goals, culture, and values.
- Manage the recruitment process, from job posting to offer acceptance, ensuring positive candidate experience and successful hiring outcomes.
- Oversee and improve the onboarding process to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the company culture and are set up for success.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
- Lead performance management cycles, including goal setting, feedback, and employee development plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, and maintain accurate HR records and reports.
