## About the Role

Smartbridge is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will bring 6–8 years of overall data engineering experience, including strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and ETL processes, along with at least 1 year of recent experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics.

## Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL pipelines using **Azure Data Factory (ADF)**.
• Design and implement data models and data warehousing solutions using **Azure Synapse Analytics**.
• Optimize SQL queries and perform performance tuning on large and complex datasets.
• Work with **Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure data services** to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Implement data security best practices, including **role-based access control (RBAC)** and data masking.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

## Technical Skills Required

• **Azure Data Factory (ADF):** Building, orchestrating, and monitoring data pipelines.
• **Azure Synapse Analytics:** Data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning (**minimum 1 year of recent hands-on experience required**).
• **SQL Server / T-SQL:** Writing complex queries, views, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• **ETL & Data Transformation:** Experience handling large-scale datasets.
• **Azure Data Lake & Blob Storage:** Managing structured and unstructured data.
• **Power BI or other data visualization tools:** Preferred but not mandatory.
