## Position Summary

The Manager, Coding & Practice Strategy serves as one of the Academy’s senior coding authorities and the organization’s dedicated expert in retina coding, reimbursement, practice management and compliance. In this role, you will provide high-level advisory support to ophthalmologists and practice leaders, helping them navigate complex reimbursement structures, regulatory requirements, and payer policies that impact retina practices. You will lead the development of retina-specific coding education and resources that align with the Academy’s gold standard for ophthalmic practice guidance, translating evolving regulations and payer rules into clear, practical strategies that support compliant documentation, protect revenue, and reduce operational risk. As a key subject-matter expert, you will contribute specialized retina expertise across the Academy’s coding products, educational programs, and practice management initiatives, ensuring members have access to accurate, actionable guidance that supports the financial sustainability and operational effectiveness of ophthalmic practices.
