Junior Accountant Assistant -CPA Firm

Job Description:
We are a growing public accounting firm seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping, tax support, and client accounting services.

In this role, you will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks including data entry, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and preparation of financial reports and quarterly filings. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working with accounting software such as QuickBooks. Experience with Lacerte tax software is a plus.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is required to support our diverse client base.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting and administrative support in a public accounting environment
• Maintain accurate financial records and client files
• Perform daily data entry using QuickBooks
• Assist with bank and account reconciliations
• Support preparation of financial statements and quarterly reports
• Assist with payroll processing and related filings
• Help resolve discrepancies and maintain documentation accuracy
• Communicate with team members and assist with client-related tasks

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bilingual in **English and Chinese (written and verbal)**
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in **QuickBooks (required)**
• Experience with **Lacerte tax software (preferred)**
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in **Microsoft Excel and Word**
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
