Position Overview:

As a GL Accountant, Contractor at our organization, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions. This position requires a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to think strategically, influence positive changes, and support internal control policies and procedures. This is a W2 contract position expected to last 3-6 months.

Responsibilities:

• **Prepare Journal Entries:** Responsible for preparing and recording journal entries accurately and timely.
• **GL Account Review and Reconciliations:** Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• **Variance Analysis:** Perform variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies in financial data.
• **Cash Transactions Reconciliation:** Reconcile daily cash transactions for multiple accounts and legal entities, and investigate treasury activities, including wires, ACH, and cash transfers.
• **Bank Statements Reconciliation:** Regularly reconcile monthly bank statements to maintain accurate financial records.
• **Credit Card Account Reconciliation:** Ensure the reconciliation of company credit card accounts.
