As a member of the Platform Technology team, our Data Engineer Interns work side by side with experienced engineers on automation initiatives spanning ETL, data pipeline orchestration, CI/CD, and AI — all in service of creating an economically sustainable health care system.

What You Bring to Cambia
Qualifications
- Pursuing a master's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, with completion of at least 1 year of undergraduate studies
- No prior work experience required; demonstrated interest in Data Engineering, AI, and analytics through coursework or personal projects is preferred
Skills And Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of software engineering, data analysis, and business intelligence concepts
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and approaches
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Basic to intermediate programming or scripting knowledge, including SQL, Python, Python Pandas, YAML, Bash, Snowflake, Streamlit, Sigma, Python-based microservices, and AWS
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts (e.g., Kimball methodology)
- Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings highly desired
