We are seeking a Clinical Data Engineer for a 6–12 month remote contract opportunity to support the modernization of our healthcare data platform. This role will focus on building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, developing curated data marts for clinical reporting, implementing data quality frameworks, and supporting migration efforts to a modern cloud data environment such as Snowflake.


The ideal candidate has strong experience working with clinical datasets, understands healthcare reporting requirements, and can ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable data solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support clinical reporting and analytics
  • Build and maintain curated data marts to enable accurate and timely reporting
  • Implement orchestration workflows to manage data ingestion and transformation processes
  • Develop and enforce data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring mechanisms
  • Support migration of legacy data systems to modern cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Collaborate with clinical, analytics, and business teams to gather reporting requirements
  • Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and ensure compliance with healthcare data standards
  • Document data flows, transformations, and reporting logic

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in clinical reporting or healthcare data environments
  • Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience
  • Experience creating curated data marts
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools
  • Experience implementing data quality checks and monitoring frameworks
  • Experience supporting cloud data migrations
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data compliance and best practices
