Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Data Architect / Lead Data Engineer to support the design and development of a multi-tenant data platform for a large-scale eCommerce environment.

This role will play a key part in shaping data architecture, building scalable data pipelines, and ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance data systems across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines integrating systems such as ERP, OMS, CRM, inventory, and pricing platforms
• Contribute to the design and evolution of a canonical data model across domains including product, order, customer, and inventory
• Develop and optimize data warehouse / lakehouse solutions for analytics and reporting
• Implement event-driven and/or batch data processing workflows, including CDC where applicable
• Support data governance efforts, including data quality, access control, and handling of sensitive data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with platform and business needs
• Participate in architecture discussions and design decisions in partnership with platform teams

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture (enterprise/platform level)
• Expertise in event-driven architecture and change data capture (CDC) pipelines
• Deep understanding of eCommerce data domains (orders, inventory, pricing, customer data)
• Experience with data warehousing/lakehouse platforms (Snowflake or equivalent), including schema design and optimization
• Strong knowledge of PCI-DSS and GDPR compliance, including data classification, encryption, and access controls
• Proficiency in Java and Python
• Experience leading cross-functional architecture alignment and governance processes
