About The Role
The Staff Data Analyst will be a key member of the Block Compliance Analytics team, responsible for integrating data-driven insights into the organization’s compliance functions. With extensive experience in Financial Crimes and Anti-Money Laundering (AML), you will develop strategies and lead critical workstreams to deliver actionable analytics to senior leadership and external stakeholders, including regulators. Your role will focus on quantifying compliance risks, enhancing operational effectiveness, and shaping the compliance program to support Block’s vision of redefining the relationship between money and technology. You will act as a strategic partner, connecting regulatory expectations with product development and operational initiatives, while communicating complex insights with clarity and impact.


Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5+ years in Compliance and AML roles
• Expert proficiency in SQL and data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
