Cost Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $120,000 to $150,000 per year.


Job Responsibilities

• Manage cost accounting activities by recording standard costs for materials labor and overhead while analyzing variances.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on manufacturing costs margins inventory activity and overall performance trends.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics to support business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
• Support audit processes by preparing documentation investigating discrepancies and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with operations teams and leadership on financial projects cost analysis and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field with professional certification considered beneficial.
• Bring five or more years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of cost accounting principles inventory management and financial analysis.
• Use Excel and enterprise systems effectively to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Apply strong analytical skills and manage projects proactively in a fast paced environment.
