The day-to-day
You will be supporting dynamic growth across the Company and ensuring appropriate accounting. You will be responsible for a variety of ad hoc projects and recurring daily tasks for the Fixed Asset team with a focus on supporting growth of our global organization. This role will report to Corporate Accounting Management in the Carlsbad Corporate Headquarters. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and will drive efficiencies by improving current processes and procedures and helping to determine scalable solutions for new processes.
This position is located onsite. Viasat embraces a flexible work environment and onsite/hybrid work is determined by individual roles and teams. Relocation assistance is available pending eligibility.
What You'll Need
- Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or a related field
- 0-3 years of accounting or related experience
- Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statements, and applying accounting theory
- Experience in recording of fixed assets, track existing fixed assets, record depreciation and fixed asset retirements, capitalization, and account reconciliations
