We work refineries, public works, energy infrastructure, and large commercial projects. JMH continues to grow its presence across these markets, and you'd be joining at an exciting time — reporting directly to our Controller.

What you bring

• 3+ years of project accounting at a heavy civil, industrial, or specialty subcontractor
• Hands-on AIA progress billing, retention, and lien release experience — you've billed up to GCs and know the paper that gets a sub paid
• T&M billing experience — you know what a marked-up time ticket has to tie to
• Strong Excel; comfortable living in spreadsheets that feed real invoices
• QuickBooks experience
• Deadline discipline and the communication skills to chase down PMs, vendors, and client reps without letting things slip

Nice to have

• Prevailing wage / certified payroll experience (California public works)
• Oil & gas client billing portals (iSupplier or similar)
• Experience at a company that built or migrated its own systems — you'll help shape ours

What you'll own

• Project setup on the accounting side — budgets, schedules of values, and cost codes that match how the job was bid
• Job cost tracking across active projects: purchase orders, committed costs, and vendor invoices coded to the right job, every time
• Weekly time & material billing — compiling field time tickets, third-party invoices, and contract pricing sheets, submitted through client billing portals on a hard weekly deadline
• Monthly progress billings on AIA G702/G703 — billing general contractors and owner clients, tracking retention, managing conditional and unconditional lien releases
