We are looking for a talented Associate Backend Software Engineer - (AI, Java, Vert.x, AWS)to join our Signals Software team, building our next generation cloud notebook application. You will be focused on the back-end design and development of our cloud notebook product, helping turn marketing requirements into an easy to use and elegant application designed for the scientific community. You Will:

• Collaborate with fellow team members on priorities, specifications, and feature implementation
• Craft well-documented, clean, and tested code
• Create secure, performant interfaces and services
• Build and maintain new, high-impact functionality into Signals Notebook
• Work with cloud services and technologies

Basic Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of professional work experience
• 1 years of Java programming skills
• 1-3 years' experience with Reactive Programming (Vert.x)
• 1 years building Web Services and RESTful APIs
• 1 year experience using AI-powered developer tools and productivity suites on a daily basis, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT, or similar AI assistant

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred
