Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced, efficient, and organized manager who is motivated by the ethical care of animals and will manage animal operations at our Farmingdale site. This role involves leading a small avian care team and directly managing all aspects of animal operations at this site, as well as daily hands-on avian care work. We are a fast paced start up, and this role will also involve wearing multiple hats – adaptability is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

●      Animal Operations: Own all day-to-day animal operations at Neion Bio’s Farmingdale, ensuring animals are cared for safely, consistently, and in accordance with approved protocols and company procedures, and that all aspects of operations are clearly and consistently scheduled, tracked, and organized in electronic systems

●      Electronic Organization: Develop, implement, and optimize online tracking systems, connecting operations in the animal facility to the lab, and uphold detailed electronic records.

●      Physical Organization: Plan and schedule facility capacity and lead the setup, organization, redesign, and expansion of animal rooms. Establish and ensure that barrier and isolation workflows are followed. Establish a crisis management site plan.
